RAVA KESARI
Kesari is the most easiest and delicious sweet which is simple to make on any occasion.
Ingredients:
Rava/Sooji : 1 cup
Sugar : 1.5 cup
Orange food color (kesar) : a pinch
Ghee : 4tbsp
Cardamom powder : a pinch
Cashew nuts : 10
Raisins : 10
1. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a tava and fry the cashews and raisins. Keep aside.
2. Add another tbsp of ghee and fry rava lightly. Keep aside.
3. Heat 2 cups of water, add cardamom powder and color to the boiling water.
4. Add rava slowly to the water and stir well. Avoid lumps.
5. After cooking rava add sugar slowly, when the sugar is dissolved add the remaining ghee.
6. Keep stirring until the rava starts leaving the sides of the pan.
7. Apply ghee on a plate and spread the kesari in the plate. Cut into pieces. Decorate with cashew and raisins.
